Great boat, Great company.
Seaswift were very helpful, informative and honest.
I got a Seaswift 435s, outboard all the equipment in a package tailored to my requirments.
It's a good quality boat and has loads of deck space, its got a centre console which is really nice touch.
Its nice to be able to go off spearfishing or diving without relying on anyone else. There's so many new reefs and wrecks to dive, i've already had some great dives at the Eddystone and got have loads more trips planned. It's going to a good year.
Many Thanks

I have a beautiful little 435 which I bought from Dave Swift last July. Despite the awful Summer weather this year, I managed to pick most of the best days :), but have also had to make the best of a few rotters and my little Gill handled it all beautifully.
Even when I have had to return to port (Maidens Harbour, Ayrshire, Firth of Clyde) in a threatening sea and an almost two metre swell, she has turned on the swell with consumate ease and grace and got me home safely.
A little boat like this was never intended to routinely perform in conditions such as these, but if you are ever confronted with these conditions, then providing you don't act daft, be sensible and decide to head for home.....
.....trust me, she has the capability to get you there safely!

Dave kindly delivered my Seaswift 435 earlier this year. I eventually settled on a 40HP with a 3.5HP Tohatsu as back up.
Dave also advised me on other safety equipment including GPS, steering compass and VHF radio. All very sensible suggestions as the boat was to be used at sea in an area that can see a change in weather despite a good forcast!
The boat is awesome and really loves the 40HP, effortlessly taking the whole family out for the day or myself and a friend for a days fishing with loads of smiles per gallon!. The 435 is remarkably stable and handles like a dream. One customer I noticed had a spray hood fitted which sounds like a good idea, something I wished I had thought of. I endorse all of the comments others have made about dealing with Dave and I would definately recogmend seaswif! t to anyone looking to buy a great British boat.
Cheers Dave and If I can get to grips with technology I sort some pictures sorted for you.

Hi Dave,
Just to let you know how happy I am with the boat package I purchased from you last year. When I was looking for a little fishing boat, I expected to make mistakes on my first purchase but your boat and engines has been perfect for me in every way.
The boat is easy to launch and retrieve especially for an old boy like me, the engines are very economical and the boat is very good on choppy seas.
Usually I fish on my own but occasionally a friend will join me for a day out and my little Swift 435 is ideal for 2 guys fishing, even the cabin is just the job for storing fishing tackle etc.
Thank you Dave for a super little boat.
Kind regards
Paul

I hadn't previously owned a boat and my search for the right vessel, together with completion of the various RYA courses, took about a year. Having trawled the magazines and the Internet - as well as making visits to various boat yards, I came across an earlier version of the Sea Swift web site. As soon as I had made my first enquiry with Dave Swift, I felt that I may have at last fallen upon the right deal. I wanted a safe and reliable first boat for fishing, within a tight budget. It needed to be light enough for me to launch and recover on my own and very importantly, the whole package had to include much of the gear that would enable me to put to sea without having to spend hours shopping for equipment.
I met with Dave at his workshop and he showed me the range of boats that were a! vailable; from the outset, nothing was too much effort for him. With his help, we ironed out a wish- list, possible prices and time-scales for delivery. Thereafter, everything was fine-tuned either by e-mail or by telephone and during this time Dave did much to allay my concerns that the project might become swamped with difficulties. In March this year I collected the boat a Sea Swift 435 and after the very professional hand-over, despite having the option of having her delivered, I removed the boat myself to the coast.
Throughout the process I was inspired by Dave's confidence, ability and above all his knowledge borne out by a previous life in the Royal Navy, which enabled me to ask absolutely anything that I was unsure about both about sea-craft and specifically about the boat. She (and I ) have now both been put through our paces and I have not been disappointed. A 30 HP EPT Tohatsu outboard with a 2.5HP back-up are more than adequate for my needs and propel the boat quietly and powerfully. Getting her on and off the trailer is a doddle, something made easier with the docking arms fixed to the trailer. The cuddy has more room than many other models in the same class that I had been looking at and I have had a fold-down cover put in to keep the spray out during long days out in foul weather. The boat and equipment were given the thumbs-up during the RNLI sea safety check last week.
I shall always remain grateful to Dave for his help and would not hesitate to recommend any one looking for a small boat to pick his brains. He is more interested in making sure you get the boat that you want rather than pushing his own boats just to make another sale. To the outsider, it is obvious that Sea Swift is growing. I am very pleased to have been associated with it.

I bought a Seawift 500 with a Suzuki 40 recently.
It's a great boat for fishing, quick, stable and dry even at speed through quite rough water. I would suggest that you go for the second seat option, and all the extras. Having had mine for a while, I can see why the extras have been offered, and there's still plenty of deck space even with two seats.
The biggest decision was choosing the engine. A 40hp motor makes it a quick boat, and the engine is surprisingly fuel efficient.
Very happy with the boat, thanks Dave.

Dear Dave,
This is just to let you know that my Seaswift 500 has performed very well in its first season. Even with a 20 hp engine, it has plenty of speed for fishing and even planing when coming in on a big swell. My wife is delighted that we have plenty of room to take friends and when fishing alone it gives me ample space as well as a stable platform.I am a very satisfied customer; thank you for a great boat.
Yours,
John Gordon

I've had the Sea Swift 500 since last May and have had many good days out fishing around the Dorset coast.
Fitted with the DF60 its more than quick enough to ski or wakeboard off so its a versatile package as well. Dave's assistance whenever needed has been readily available and he's still happy to assist with advice & guidance 7 months after purchase.
Owning the Sea Swift and dealing with Dave has been all round positive experience.

I am the happy owner of a Seaswift 500 and Suzuki 50.
The boat handles very well in both calm and rough ( well -3ft waves!). The high freeboard makes for a dry ride. We only spotted the sign on the transom which shows a maximum number of 4 adults, whilst travelling out of Lanston harbour with 6 adults and 2 children! - in our defence we all had life jackets.
Our only problem so far has been a roller falling off the trailer because of a missing clip. A quick phone call to Dave swift and a clip was on its way. He persuaded me to buy a number of extras when I bought the kit such as emergency radio, depth finder, etc which turned out to be very sensible.
Dave Swift is enthusiastic about his boats and this was part of why we bought the boat from him.

I am very pleased with the Seaswift 500 - It handles extremely well.
I had the maximum of four people on board Saturday just gone, for a day's fishing trip and the Suzuki DF 50 engine ploughed the Sea Swift 500 through the water very easily. On one occasion my brother's hat blew off into the sea but was quickly retrieved due to the great manoeuvrability of the boat.
Dave Swift, the owner of Sea -Swift Boats, is a delight to deal with. Dave was professional at all times and took a great deal of understanding & interest in the extras I requested for my boat.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Dave and his company to any other prospective purchaser.

We spent a long time looking for a suitable boat and eventually discovered Sea Swift and Dave, less than two miles from where we live !!
We bought the 435 plus Honda 20 after many conversations and much readily given help from Dave. The boat now resides in France and is proving to have been a good choice. The 435 is very stable and ideal for our requirements.
Very refreshing to find somebody as straightforward & helpful as Dave Swift and we have no hesitation in recommending him and his boats.

We wanted something easy to use and transport for a bit of holiday fun and went for the sea swift 360 package.
Dave met us with the boat and couldn't have been more accommodating (came across as a genuinely nice bloke) told us how to put it together, it went up really easily started first time and we have had great fun with it.
As complete novices we would recommend this package as it really does do what it says on the tin! - We felt very safe and was easy to put together and handle at sea.
Can't wait for the next outing!

We bought our Seaswift 435 / Mariner 20hp in the Spring of last year.
Very pleased with the package and all the help from Dave who answered all our queries and had the boat ready on time. Have not been able to use her as much as we would have liked but are looking forward to some more sea time soon.

I had the pleasure of taking delivery of a genuine "fully-loaded" Sea Swift 435 package two weeks ago, delivered by none other than Dave Swift himself... (it's the special offer package emblazoned with a SOLD sign, currently on line; do have a look folks).
She is indeed a beautiful little boat and has already attracted many admirers, none more so than myself. In choosing the first boat I had ever personally owned I confess that I had considered a number of other boat options before making a final choice, including other "fully-loaded" packages, mainly consisting of no more that the boat, engine and trailer, with a prop-bag thrown in if you were lucky!
What Dave brought to my door, here in Ayrshire, after a very long journey from south Devon, was indeed the full-ticket.....a beautiful little solid boat, 20HP Honda, remotes and far too many extras to mention here, (although I must add that Dave was good enough to throw in a full anchor kit at no additional cost).
As for the man himself, Dave is very much like a younger version of myself - someone who can't sit still for more than a minute, if at all! I really took to him within a short space of time and he delivered a very succinct and detailed run-down of almost every aspect of the craft and her equipment, albeit after a very long journey and (for me) at a very early time in the morning. Finally, I must add that my boat was delivered at a very reasonable cost, all things considered. So again, my thanks to Dave.
P.S. - with your indulgence, I intend to send updates from time to time as to how myself and Gill are getting along.

Being a complete beginner I have to thank you for all your help and advice.
Brilliant boat - great fun and most importantly easy to handle.
Everyone that's been out on her have all been very impressed so lets hope it leads to more sea swifts on the back beach.
Once again Dave many many thanks

I don't know if you remember us, but we are in Reading and purchased one of these boats off you in May 2008. Don't worry we have no complaints and are thoroughly enjoying the use of it, mainly for fishing by Garry I hasten to say !!
What we are really after is a spare bung - we have tried chandlers up here but to no avail. Would you be able to give us some idea where we could get one from, obviously we would pay cost and packaging up front. In fact, we might even purchase two of them as you never know when one might go astray!
I have to say that they really are great little boats and those who have been out in it are well impressed , although we have not yet found another customer for you - yet !!!
Kind regards,
Ian

Eventually I've had sufficient leave to fit the new Tohatsu 50 DLDI, and up rate the steering. I launched her last week and she's been absolutely great. I've been out in some fairly inclement weather and am impressed the way she performed.
The Tohatsu is now run in and I've only had her flat out for a short period and achieved 29 knots across the tide on the GPS. The best bit, with the engine at only 3250RPM she sits at 18 knots giving me incredible economy.
Super fishing boat & great engine.
Many thanks

Thank you Dave for being so helpful with the change of boat. Our upgrade to the Seaswift 500 with a 40hp Suzuki engine is a great all-round fast fishing boat . We have found the boat very economical and a lot of fun.
Thank you Dave for always being at end of the phone.

I bought a Sea Swift 500 this year with a 50hp 4 stroke and what a cracking fishing boat it is. there is loads of room its sturdy and more important you feel safe in it unlike my last boat. The 50hp sends it along over 30mph which also makes it a great family fun boat and will hopefully get some knee boards / ski's next summer for the kids. all in all this is a super versatile boat which will give us great pleasure for years to come.
I would just like to thank Dave swift for being very help full and a pleasure to do business with and wish him all the the best for the future.

We have owned a sea swift 435 for just over a year now and have found it to be a very practical craft. As a Sea Scout group we use it primarily as a safety boat normally at a distance from the youngsters on the water, however on a recent Duke of Edinburgh expedition we needed to get much closer than normal safety duties in the past.
An expedition was to take place with 6 youngsters rowing up the Tamar over a weekend, unfortunately shortly after launching and mid river under the Tamar Bridge, water appeared above the deck boards in the rowing gig!
The youngsters headed for the shore as we shadowed in Sea Swift. On beaching and bailing out the gig we had to tow them across the river to recover the boat, all in all Sea Swift proved itself a very capable craft by virtue of being low enough to easily reach across to the rowing boat ,yet powerful enough to tow across tide and flow with ease.
When push came to shove' Sea Swift 'cut the mustard'
It turned out the rowing boat had been damaged on the trailer with a 1 inch hole below the waterline- another gig was substituted and the expedition was completed over the weekend.
It is reassuring to know that your rescue craft are capable of performing when required, and Sea Swift performed with ease.

The Magic Roxy, took to the rivers of the Norfolk Broads today and as expected she handled perfectly, we even had bright sunshine. The only disappointment was that the champagne was flat
The Suzuki ran like a dream.
On a more serious note, I cannot find the words to express our gratitude and also to praise you for the professional manner and attention to detail that you lavished on us.
And also to thank you for your patience with the older generation, I am sure my shipmate and myself will enjoy her, we hope for some years to come. We will certainly be promoting Sea Swift Boats up here.
Once Again David many many thanks.

Sea Swift 435 = EXCELLENT!
My wife wasn't too keen on having a boat but I managed to convince her that the Sea Swift was good value and we would have much enjoyment with pleasure days out and fishing trips. She's not been disappointed the only trouble is I can't get my hands on the wheel! She's skipper and I'm the crew!I think I'll get myself a Sea Swift 500.
Seriously a great buy which we are both fully enjoying, the price was right and Dave's help and advice superb nothing too much trouble and he delivered to Pembrokeshire. All we are left to do is enjoy the UK's most beautiful coastal national park walk from the sea and catch fish.
Thanks Dave and for your wife's wonderful coffee

I have recently purchased the Sea Swift 500 for fishing around the south coast. I looked at a few other brands out there and found the Sea Swift 500 to be not only the superior boat but also the best value for money.
The boat feels stable when fishing and has plenty of deck space to move around and with the Suzuki 40hp four stroke that I choose to be fitted, it goes very well through the water. The 500 is easy to manoeuvre and with docking arms fitted to the trailer, launching and recovering is also an easy task.
I bought this boat for not only fishing but for family fun as well and have found that even when the weather is not at its best this isn't a problem with the substantial cuddy which provides plenty of protection from the elements.
Dealing with Dave Swift was easy going and trouble free, he made sure the boat was fitted to my spec and on the day of pick up we were not disappointed with the turn out.
Thanks again Dave for all the help in choosing the right boat, we are all very happy with our Sea Swift.
All the best

Christened my new Sea Swift 500/Honda 20hp 1st September, 2009.
It behaved impeccably. The wind was a 13-15mph North Easterly with gusts up to 24mph. The well sheltered Cleddau river was unusually very lumpy near the mouth of the estuary but she handled everything thrown at her. So much so that I felt no discomfort whatsoever and this experience has given me every confidence to go back out tomorrow because I know I have a safe and stable boat under me.
One of the better sides of purchasing this boat was the manner in which Dave Swift treated me, keeping me informed every step of the way and reassuring when I felt doubts about it all.
Thanks Dave, you have made an old man happy and you have shown that people can be responsible and trustworthy in business!

I purchased the 500 model with the DF50 motor purely for sea fishing what a boat.
She's fast, stable, comfortable, will easily fish 3 and cruise at 14/16 knots and do about 1 litre to 2 miles. I found Dave a pleasure to do business with and always willing to talk about anything over the phone before I travelled down from the North East of England.
I would recommend one of these boats to anyone.

Having recently purchased a Sea Swift 435 from Dave at Sea Swift, we are more than happy with the boat and service we received. The boat has a 25HP Suzuki engine which is a good combination.
We cannot praise Dave or the boat enough, he has been very helpful and informative from the outset to the launch.
Many thanks Dave.

OK, In the past I have looked at used craft and been bitterly disappointed and not tempted to part with my cash. I eventually got to the point where I wasn't going to do that anymore. I wanted something that was me - in other words it had to be new. Then I saw Sea Swift. Called Dave, and so the story goes on…Custom built with the additions I wanted.
I met Dave for our maiden voyage. He showed me how to launch etc. and took the helm to show me the ropes as it were. Oh and if she looks little on land take no notice, she feels and performs much bigger on water. She is a wonderful little craft, very stable and easy to handle in and out of the water. And Dave is always on hand to help me out if needed. A genuine nice guy.
When you buy a Sea Swift Boat, you don't just get a great little boat - you get a friend thrown in as well.
Thanks Dave!

I have always wanted a boat. Just somewhere that I can go and get away from the stress of life. No phones, just peace and tranquillity. So when I saw the advert for the Sea Swift, much to my wife's opposition to the idea, we went to see Dave. Now just like a wife who fears being a golfing widow, a husband who wants to fulfil his boyhood dreams of owning a boat, I was always going to have a struggle.
I saw the advert in the paper for the Sea Swift and suggested, tentatively, to my wife Maxine that we should at least have a look at one, even if it was just a morning excursion for the kids! So we put Dave's address on the sat nav (because we are new to the area) and off we went. My wife was growing more and more irritated. I gently persuaded her by grabbing her earlobe to at least have a look at the stock available. She was not in the mood to buy a toy that she would probably never use. Dave took us round all the different boats that he had with all different options.
My wife's normally staunch face seemed to soften slightly, just the same way as if she had seen a dress in M&S and gave me the nod to buy the boat, even though she did not want it. I was happy, even though she was not...... so I had Dave call it MAD MAX.
Since then I have been able to speak to Dave virtually every day. After sales service is so important to him. He has offered to tow the boat to Torquay, come out for a couple of times to make sure that I know what I am doing, teach me how the ship to shore radio works, how to maintain the engine etc.
If you are ever going to buy a boat and want someone to help you in the early days (I don't need you anymore Dave, sorry) then call Dave, realise your dream and have fun. I've caught no fish yet, but getting away from it all is the whole point.
Thanks Dave and we will go out for some serious fishing in June.

What a fantastic boat the Sea Swift 435 is! I have been out in my new boat twice and find that it offers everything you could wish for. Its ideal for fishing, day trips and if you want some fun the speed is there!
Excellent value for money! From first seeing the boat and ordering it Dave was informative and very helpful. There was good communication and Dave was quick to answer any query I had. I am looking forward to many hours at sea around Poole harbour and surrounding coastal area.

We live in Cornwall and wanted a boat for offshore fishing. The 435 suited our needs exactly, easy towing, launching and retrieval. We bought the boat late summer of 2008. Managed to get out several times in the autumn when the weather permitted and had some glorious days, on one occasion feeding the whole village with mackerel.
The boat was stable and easy to handle, a joy. We found Dave to be most informative and helpful. Now looking forward to 2009 lets hope for some decent weather.

I've been involved in the building of boats for a few years now and came down to Devon with a friend to test the Sea Swift 435 as he wanted a boat for sport fishing and family day boat use.
As he was a first time buyer he asked me to come down with him to see what I thought. We were not disappointed! The Sea Swift 435 is a superb little boat offering a stable platform to fish from and a fast hull due to its gull wing design. It has a good sized cabin which gives great protection from the elements which is ideal for fishing. it was very easy to get on and off the trailer and the boat itself handled nicely.
Overall it did all we wanted it to do very well and I gave it the thumbs up.

Cracking piece of kit!!
Have found the Sea Swift 435 to be an excellent all round vessel being easy to launch & recover, uncomplicated in its set up and usage, yet still have the feeling it can easily cope with more severe weather and sea conditions than thus far experienced with it.
In the Sea Swift we have discovered unsurpassed value for money and you can rest assured that Dave Swift is an uncomplicated, genuine guy to deal with.
Looking forward to many enjoyable hours in the coming boating season with the boat- shame the winters are so long.

Gemini FM Radio recently ran a competition for a youth group to win a new, fully equipped Sea Swift 435 complete with 25hp Mercury engine and road trailer, worth over £7,000, which was being donated by Dave Swift to further youth boating in the community.
Our Sea Scout group, 6th Torbay Britannia were the fortunate winners, we operate from our HQ on Paignton Harbour side and have more than 160 members between 6 and 18 years of age most of whom attended the official handover on 8th November. (See photo gallery)
We have already used the Sea Swift on several weekends and have found the boat easy to launch and recover, vital if being assisted by young people, and it is stable and handles well on both flat and in more challenging conditions.
We are all very grateful to Dave for his extreme generosity, and many youngsters will benefit from his kindness in the years to come.

I would just like to say how impressed I have been with the Sea Swift 435 - I have found it to be a good all round multi purpose vessel - Easy to launch by myself - very stable and reliable - I have not hesitated taking my family out in it (it would have been more often had it of not been for the weather this Summer (what Summer?)
I also feel that Dave is an absolute asset always there to offer any support or knowledge required (and lets face I have probably been one of those nightmare customers due to my lack of knowledge) however I can thoroughly recommend it

Hi bought a Seaswift 435 back in September 2008, just like to say what a great boat, very stable on the water (especially in the seas off Falmouth Bay) easy to launch and recover, a pleasure to be out on the water in.
Dave Swift is also excellent to deal with ,a genuine nice guy!!
Couldn`t have been better to us.
